Ahead of the promised announcement on the future of furlough leave in January 2021, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak has today announced that the furlough leave scheme has been extended until the end of April 2021.

The government's contribution of 80% towards pay will also continue, provided that the existing eligibility criteria for claiming the grant are met.

Additionally, the deadline for submitting claims for April 2021 will be 14 May 2021. The submission deadlines are therefore:-
