How we carry out our identity and address checks

We are required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to gather identification documents for our clients, both at the outset of being instructed and at regular intervals thereafter.

Given the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we appreciate that many clients may be concerned about coming into our offices or sending physical documents to us.

Therefore, we are using a secure app authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and approved by The Law Society called “Thirdfort” to make this process as easy and as user-friendly as possible.

The app guides you through what you need to provide to us including uploading a picture of your ID and taking a selfie video. Thirdfort uses high tech software to verify the documents and face recognition software to confirm your identity and then generates a confidential report so that we can review the documents and other information that has been provided.
