MoJ and Office of the Public Guardian to collaborate on updating the Lasting Power of Attorney process.

The Office of the Public Guardian and the Ministry of Justice have initiated a project jointly to update the procedure for drafting and registering lasting powers of attorney, which may include digitisation. They will be working on a range of events, roundtables and surveys to obtain data that will result in the publication of a consultation in spring next year to obtain evidence and inform the future of the Lasting Power of Service.
