Tariq Phillips- Director and Solicitor

Tariq acts for landlord and tenant companies who own/occupy business premises such as offices, restaurants, bars, industrial units, shops, pubs and buildings. Typical deal values range from £50,000 to £3,000,000.

He assists with the drafting or approval of commercial leases, the acquisition and disposal and refinancing of real estate and newly converted blocks of residential apartments. He also advises his clients on the sale or acquisition of businesses such as pubs, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. He applies for premises licences and wedding venue licences.

Tariq's advice and assistance is generally structured and charged in three parts. Commercial property advice is provided where a commercial lease or freehold is being sold/acquired, employment law advice is required where there are employees or staff being transferred or dismissed as part of the deal, and company commercial law advice where the purchase price includes assets or shares belonging to a company or business.

Tariq delivers high quality legal services and represents many businesses small to large within the hospitality sector (licensed leisure), the care industry and also real estate developers. He is a member of Commercial Real Estate Legal Association.
